June 20-22: The first leg of our trip brought us to New Jersey- visiting family. Randi and Alan have an amazing backyard, a huge pool surrounded by lush green grass and trees. It has got to be the largest backyard pool in the area! Uncle Eddie was our next stop and at 91 is doing great. He boasts about his walk up and down his 30-foot balcony that overlooks the Hudson River and the entire skyline of Manhattan.
Then on to visit Shari, Ryan, and their two young kids. They live in Hoboken, a quick ferry ride into NYC. We didn't take the ferry, but walked on the dock alongside the food trucks and beer garden where we had a great view of the new Freedom Tower - makes you pause as it stands high against the sky.
